We submitted developed design a few weeks ago now and have just completed technical submission. See below some images from the developed submissions… hopefully we will get to upload some more soon, but for now some images from my personal submission (Jasmine Richardson).

My project has changed quite a lot since schematic, and as such has now entitled Moocooboola – the aboriginal name for Cockatoo Island meaning ‘the meeting of waters’ signifying the the islands position at the junction of the Lane Cove, Parramatta and Lane Cove Rivers.

This developed has occurred as a result of a two week experience at the Urban Islands Workshop, where I was able to unearth a more personal reaction to the site. As such, the project has become a phenomenological response to the decaying state of the site and the island as a space of ‘otherness’ outside of the chaos of the city. For more explanation, visit my blog at http://jrichardsonstudio.blogspot.com.au/2013/08/developed-design_28.html.

There was lots of great work and everyone did a fantastic job… We are all looking forward to the upcoming months of preparation for Final and cannot wait until we get to put our work on exhibition at Christ Church Cathedral and Walsh Bay in November/December.
