Cammeray Public High School by Zoha Fard

The project aim was to reimagine an urban fabric rich educational architecture for Cammeray community, enabling students, teachers and community to interact and learn in a porous, safe and urban plan environment.

The outer skin of the design mirrors the neighbourhood’s brick urban fabric. Whilst the learning containers with translucent skin stands above the low buildings, representing education as the center of the community.

The learning environments architecture supports innovative pedagogy with flexible spaces that can accommodate changing teaching methods.

The common area outside flexible classrooms provides a home base for nurturing students’ development.

The design of Cammeray Public school is result of national and international precedent research of these traditional and non-traditional learning spaces that accommodate multiple and spontaneous activities.
