Integrated Early Childhood Centre for Children with Autism
Jen’s House is an integrated Early Childhood Centre for children with Autism.
The centre situated on the site of the (former) Dairy Farmers Corner, will provide day care services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and mainstream children aged 0-6 years alongside various support services including diagnosis, therapies, early intervention research facility, ongoing support services for families and carers, and management offices.
From crawling on hands and knees to walking on tiny feet, children form a connection to the word through tactility and sensual experiences beyond the visual.
The project seeks to revel in the interplay between the child’s perspective and the built world, providing a safe environment, rich in sensual learning and play for children who often struggle with under or overwhelming sensual responses.
