PROJECT LOCATION: Sarawak, Malaysia
As Sibu is the main gateway to the upper Rajang River; connecting the inland towns to other major coastal towns of Sarawak, this project is proposed to replace the existing express ferry wharf in order to cater a bustling and rapidly growing population and to provide a better transportation hub.
Existing urban interventions creates the idea of ‘urban know’ which has been implemented in developing the project. Interrelation between the culture and architecture turn out into a simple and functional layout to ensure smooth and seamless users experience. Built form is expresses and celebrated by virtue of its expanse which creates a new landmark and signifies the gateway to Sibu.
