Situated in an abandoned quarry, the project seeks to solve its environmental constrains by utilizing its topographic qualities to provide a unique set of design approach. The building itself serves as a barrier separating the ‘artificial’ and ‘natural’ elements of the site, creating a sanctuary for contemporary performing arts. The building also seeks to become the new iconic landmark within the city to encourage public visitation in order to promote and gain public recognition towards contemporary art forms.
