Watershed by Eleri Smith

Watershed is a Museum of Water formed from the overburden in a coal mine near Singleton, NSW. The building acts as both a conduit for an existing creek and as a filter for contaminated coal-wash water stored onsite to produce a long-term living water store in the mine void.  Descent into to the museum is through a mist cloud, the beginning of a journey that stimulates appreciation for both the power and susceptibility of water.
